Say Yes! to prayerfully choosing your goals

Charles Spurgeon said, ‘Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.’  Prayer makes it more likely that we will achieve our goals.

Many churches engage in corporate prayer and fasting in January. If, as the bible says, one can put a thousand to flight and two, ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:30), then that which is put to flight when an entire church is praying consistently for thirty days is exponential. In such an atmosphere the enemy retreats or is bound, and supernatural help, provision, healing, protection and blessings of all types are released. Thus it’s the perfect opportunity to speak to God about goals.

Whether the goals you want to set are personal, academic, professional, financial or family related, they’re only worth achieving if they are aligned with God’s will for you.  As we set three or four major goals for 2017, we should ask God to guide us in choosing them.  Once we know where he’s leading us, and are in full agreement (meeting any conditions according to his word), we can be assured that we shall have what we pray for.
